Punta Moreno (Isabela)
Allgemeine Informationen
Punta Moreno befindet sich im Südwesten der Isla Isabela, der größten Insel des Galapagos Archipels. Von hier aus hat meinen einen spektakulären Blick auf die drei Vulkane Alcedo, Sierra Negra und Cerro Azul. Dieser Ort ist eine Bucht, deren Wasser türkis leuchtet, und in Küstennähe findet sich eine reiche Vegetation.
Sehenswürdigkeiten
Die Landschaft ist unberührt und gezeichnet von schwarzen Lavaströmen , die einen großartige Lebensraum für viele Tiere bieten. Hier sieht man Darwin Finken, Galapagos Pinguine, Blaufußtölpel, flugunfähige Kormorane, Pelikane und vieles mehr. Auch die Vegetation ist einzigartig. Weiter im Landesinneren finden sich vereinzelt kleine Lagunen, von denen jede einige Vogelarten beherbergt.
